In July 2024, PES donated a decommissioned service technician vehicle to the food rescuers in Worzeldorf and the south of Nuremberg.
The founder and chairwoman of the non-profit association for food saving and sustainability Nuremberg eV, Ms. Monika Simon-Deinlein, commented on the donation at a press conference: “We would like to thank Markus Portune for donating the new VW bus to our association! This VW bus helps us to continue to distribute rescued food to the population every week. Over 120 volunteers are working to distribute free food across all social classes in two editions. We are pleased about the strong support from the community and remain motivated to work for our fellow human beings and for sustainability."
The “Food Saving with Encounter Café” takes place every Thursday from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
