The 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to achieve sustainable development by 2030. They cover issues such as poverty, hunger, health, education, clean water, climate change and peace.

Implementation requires a holistic strategy and cooperation between governments, businesses and civil society. The SDGs aim to ensure that all people, regardless of their background or social status, can live in dignity and respect the Earth’s ecological limits in order to create a sustainable future for all.

Portuné Engineering Service GmbH is committed to 12 of these goals.

We are committed to sustainable goals

We support food savers

We donate vehicles to food rescue organisations (‘FoodSavers’). These organisations, in turn, provide people from all walks of life with plenty of food.

We minimise workplace accidents

Another priority is to promote the health of our employees, prevent work-related hazards and keep the number of workplace accidents as low as possible. In addition to expanding our health management system, targeted training, advisory services and safety briefings are designed to help raise employees’ awareness of potential hazards.

We are continuing our professional development

Rapid advances in science and technology mean we have to keep pace with the current rate of change. We address the challenges posed by these changes through continuous lifelong learning, thereby ensuring our long-term competitiveness and performance.

We promote diversity

A further objective is to further increase the high level of diversity we have already achieved in terms of gender equality, age and professional background.

We save water

The quality of drinking water in Germany is among the best in the world, which is why we are all the more conscious of using this resource sparingly. Not only in our daily lives, but also in our projects.

We uphold high standards

We ensure transparent rules regarding working hours and through our own wiki – and we document them. We aim for steady growth.

We support research

We are currently working on several certified projects in our field of expertise (machine control) in collaboration with renowned research institutions. As part of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM), we are collaborating with the University of Potsdam and have already completed several projects. We have recently submitted another research proposal.

We stand against racism and discrimination

In addition to promoting diversity as part of our corporate culture, we take a stand against racism and discrimination through voluntary work.

We are committed to integrating sustainability into our procurement process (giving preference to local suppliers where possible) and to fulfilling comprehensive due diligence obligations to preserve and protect the environment, thereby demonstrating our commitment to our social responsibility.
